The Elitist Lazy White Mage Macro Guide
Preface: I don't think this was understood well, I FULLY UNDERSTAND THAT WHM ABILITIES ARE BEST OPTIMIZED WHEN USED AT SPECIFIC TIMES, however, this guide is intended to spow how macros work and offer macros that require less button movement on easier content. Please learn why you would use each ability first and for what situations, this is a mere lazy guide for those who want to get the best out of their heals while also dpsing in small dungeon runs without spamming multiple buttons.
These Macros are not a be all end all to all content, they merely maximize cooldowns for efficiency. Sometimes in hard raiding content you need to save your cooldowns for certain moments. Use common sense for certain content and replace the macros with normal abilities when you know you need to save your cooldowns. With that being said in normal content this allows you to use cooldowns and maximize your potential, while allowing you to be, well lazy… You don't want to be lazy for high-end raiding content.
General Macro Info:
/micon Aero
This tells the macro what icon to use, so if you can’t find the icon in the list you can force it to have an icon of an ability by typing it in, or you can totally mess with your friends account by making macros with different icons that do different abilities…. I feel bad already mentioning this one….

/ac Virus <tt>
This “<tt> tells my macro to cast Virus onto my target’s target. Basically I am targeting my tank for healing purposes and casting my spell Virus onto the enemy my tank is targeting. This is so useful so you don’t have to target away from your tank and you can still get spells onto the enemies.

This tells the ability to cure the person your mouse is over, this is called mouse over healing. I am not a mouseover healer so this is as far as I will go into that.

Raise Macro:
/micon Raise
/ac Swiftcast <me>
/wait 2
/ac Raise <t>
/p Raising <t>
/ac Swiftcast <me>
/wait 2
/ac Raise <t>
/p Raising <t>
So basically this raise macro allows for you to use it in conjunction with swiftcast, ensuring the perfect swift cast raise! We have the wait in there because swiftcast takes some time and it helps to prevent spamming your party chat as well. You should still have a regular raise on your hot bar for well when swiftcast is down, you don’t need to be waiting two seconds before casting raise. You could add the party chat portion though. This macro is the only one I really consider to be mandatory, but your allowed to have your opinion even though it’s wrong…
Regen Macro
/micon Regen
/ac “Divine Seal”
/ac Regen <t>
/micon Regen
/ac “Divine Seal”
/ac Regen <t>
HOTs (Heals over time) work best with divine seal. Divine seal has a quick cooldown which means you should be spamming it constantly. This increases the amount healed by your regen so you can get back to “Stoning” the enemy while your tank enjoys an increased Regen.
Medica II Macro
/micon “Medica II”
/ac “Divine Seal” <me>
/ac Swiftcast <me>
/ac “Medica II”
/ac “Divine Seal” <me>
/ac Swiftcast <me>
/ac “Medica II”
Again, Divine seal because this is the “Oh shit” heal that includes a HoT. Swiftcast can be used or not depending on if you feel it’s necessary. You can even add or replace it with Presence of Mind for the spell speed increase.

Virus and Eye for Eye Macro
/micon Virus
/ac Virus <t>
/ac Viruse <tt>
/ac “Eye for an Eye” <t>
/ac “Eye for an Eye” <tt>
/ac Virus <t>
/ac Viruse <tt>
/ac “Eye for an Eye” <t>
/ac “Eye for an Eye” <tt>
This is the easiest most wonderful macro. This macro allows for you to cast Virus and Eye for an eye whether or not you are targeting the enemy or your tank. Just keep spamming until both spells go off, this allows for your tank to take some very large hits with very minimal damage. Again in my preface you may not always want these used at the same time, sometimes you want them separated for min/max raid situations. During a quick four man this eases a good amount of button mashing, and cast on your tank at times of DPSing as you know your tank is good for a bit. Also if you are a WHM and you don’t have E4E and Virus, you should be ashamed… go back to soloing and stoning the enemies cause no one will want you for their raid group, you filthy casual.
Damage Macros
The Idea here is that solo content can be easier with a few macros, some things you might want to change in the raid setting because if you have fluid aura macroed to your stone III in Savage Alexander, you are gonna find yourself out of a raid group and possibly your Free Company. Shit even Alphinaud will kick you out of the Scions if you knock back the Adds in the first Alexander run…
Rotation: Should for the most part be Aero III, Aero, Aero II, because in that order they wear off around the same time. I didn’t min/max this so take it for what it is (My rotation). You want swiftcast on Aero III most likely
Aero III Macro
/micon “Aero III”
/ac Swiftcast <me>
/ac “Aero III” <t>
/ac “Aero III” <tt>
/ac Swiftcast <me>
/ac “Aero III” <t>
/ac “Aero III” <tt>
This ensures you can cast Aero III fast and what the tank is attacking or what you are targeting yourself. Just be mindful you might get chat spam that says no <tt> target. You can always take that out, and sometimes you may want to save Swiftcast for certain fights (I am trying to beat this into your heads, because I don’t want people to blame me for your shitty Alex runs.)

/ac “Presence of Mind” <me>
/ac “Stone III” <t>
/ac “Fluid Aura” <t>
/ac “Presence of Mind” <me>
/ac “Stone III” <t>
God so help me if you use this other than soloing, I will. I will… get more commendations, because I’m not a shitty WHM. Take out Presence or Fluid Aura depending on your personal situation.

The Perfect Repose Macro
/micon Repose
/ac swiftcast <me>
/wait 2
/ac Repose <t>
/wait 1
/p <t> is Asleep, Don’t Attack! <se.2>
/mk ignore1 <t>
/ac swiftcast <me>
/wait 2
/ac Repose <t>
/wait 1
/p <t> is Asleep, Don’t Attack! <se.2>
/mk ignore1 <t>
This macro puts the enemy to sleep let’s your team mates know, and even gently marks the enemy for later slaughter (You humanitarian you). Take out swift cast if needed, can add presence, or not. Wait helps to time for swiftcats, the second wait ensures you aren’t just spamming chat again, annoyingly…
Shroud my Ass Macro
/micon Assize
/ac Assize <me>
/ac “Shroud of Saints” <me>
/ac Surecast <me>
/ac Assize <me>
/ac “Shroud of Saints” <me>
/ac Surecast <me>
This is my MP regen macro, Hit once to cast assize, hit again to SoS, or spam to cast all of it. I put surecast in there because if you need SoS, you’re probably getting smacked around by the enemy and will need to ensure your next cast isn’t cancelled. Don’t use if the fight requires timed out MP regen spots or you need SoS to drop agro at certain parts.
What Is Ac Tool
So there they are I hope you enjoyed the article on Macros for WHM’s. I would just like to say I love the FFXIV community and I wanted to give back with this guide since macros can be difficult at times. Also please don’t take this guide as the only way to play or the best way, this is just merely one way to play, the lazy way. I don’t consider myself as the best WHM and there are probably better ways. Just take it for what it is
Edit: Formatting and a better Preface?
